Join local artist and instructor Cody Wheelock as he presents a crash course on color theory and the use of the limited palette in painting. Cody will discuss the three critical components of color and lead students through a series of hands-on exercises, turning theory into practice. Cody will also share the benefits of using a limited palette and explain how students can mix anything with only six specific colors. Students will apply the concepts discussed in the creation of a small still life painting and leave with tips on how to continue the learning process at home through exploration and practice.
We will provide easels and work space; students are asked to bring:

- Titanium White

- Alizarin Crimson
- Napthol or Cadmium Red
- Ultramarine Blue
- Burnt Umber.
- Palette knife and Palette
- Brushes (variety of sizes, shapes)
